The National Homowo
Festival North America (NHFNA) is a
non-profit organization whose
mission is to unite all Ghanaian
indigenes of GaDangme descent
resident in North America, and to
afford deserving under-privileged
children in Ghana the opportunity,
the training and tools needed to
compete in today’s global
technological world, while
promoting Gadangme culture and
tradition, through civic, social
education, recreational activities,
mentoring and community building
among GaDangme people through the
celebration of the annual National
Homowo Festival in North America
(with emphasis on children), while
exposing the American public to the
meaning, uniqueness, pomp and
pageantry of African culture. It is
also to develop and foster mutual
understanding and cooperation among
the various GaDangme Associations in
North America, as an enhancement of
the general cultural and ethnic
fabric of the United States
